This is a watercolour painting of Pikachu, a big, lovable, Lab/Great Dane cross who was a huge part of my son Rob's life for several years and died much too soon.

Everyone who met Pikachu instantly liked him because of his fun, carefree personality.  He greeted everyone at his house very enthusiastically.  Although he weighed over 125 pounds he thought he was just a little guy and wanted to crawl up on your lap as soon as you sat down.  He ate pretty much anything, including Slurpees, rawhide bones and any kind of dog toy didn't last long with him. He enjoyed pestering anyone who he thought was good for a food handout.

I enjoyed painting this picture of Pikachu and hope that I have captured the essence of this quirky, happy go lucky guy.  He left his mark on this earth with everyone who came in contact with.

He will always be remembered fondly, with much love.
